Wilf Malcolm is a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Waikato, and prior to that was Professor of Pure Mathematics at Victoria University of Wellington. Nicholas Tarling is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Auckland and one of New Zealand's most distinguished authors and scholars.
